Physics Olympiad Teachers Exposure Camp (Nov. 30-Dec 03, 2015)

Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. The broad goals of the Centre are to promote equity and excellence in science and mathematics education from primary school to undergraduate college level. It is India's nodal centre for Olympiad programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy.

Duration and dates

We announce a physics olympiad exposure camp for teachers from Nov. 30- Dec. 03, 2015.

Structure of the camp

The camp will consist of various exposure sessions on theoretical component in the physics olympiad programme. There will be a special focus on Physics Education Research and use of demonstrations in a class.  Eminent scientists/speakers will interact with participants on various interesting topics, giving them a flavour of physics olympiad activity.

Who can apply

High school/college teachers, who teach PHYSICS at any school/college.

How to apply and last date

Apply Online (Preferred) - Click here to fill online form. Form will be available till 17:00, October 18, 2015.

Apply Offline - Please send the completed application form (which can be downloaded with a link at the bottom of this page) to reach on or before October 18, 2015.

We will inform the teachers regarding the selection by October 20, 2015 on this website.

Travel and accommodation

All the participants will be eligible for to and fro travel fare as per the entitlement (maximum only upto II AC). All the teachers will be given the registration kit and free tea/snacks/Lunch during all the three days of the workshop. Accommodation will be provided to the participants in HBCSE guest house.
